Jillian Drane

Team Manager/Senior Technician

  • Jillian was born in La Port, IN, and enjoys reading, painting, NetFlix, and spending time with her boyfriend, Darian. She has 2 dogs, Jade and Matt (aka "Mr. Bigs"), and a cat, Furball.  She once lived in New Mexico, in an "Earthship", and also once worked on a cow and llama ranch.
  • Jillian served as a senior technician at our Decatur office before transferring over to Lilburn-Stone Mountain just prior to its opening in October 2007.
  • Why she does this: "The Village Vets is really my second family.  I really couldn't ask for a better environment to work in."

Reception Staff

Emily De Los Rios

Emily was born in Miami, FL.  She loves music and dancing, and particularly Salsa and Meringue. She has a dog Frankie and a cat, Senor. She and her husband Javier have two children, Abriela and Markos.

Why she does this: "After losing my best friend Wolf, who was my dog, to heartworms in 1997, I wanted to learn more about caring for pets."

 

Cynthia Philippakis

  Cynthia was born and raised in Commack, NY, and moved to GA in 1997.  She married husband John in 2005, and has 3 dogs (Mindy, Monk and Chelsea) and 1 cat (Meows).  She enjoys hiking and being outdoors.

She volunteered on the NY State Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Stranding Team for 4 years, and assisted with the rehabilitation of a 2 month old Common Dolphin.  She has also volunteered with EARS Disaster Relief Team since 2000.

Why she does this: "The Village Vets is my home away from home- the people here truly care about animals.  I couldn't ask for a better place to work.

 

Lindsay Durden

Lindsay was born in Atlanta. Her hobbies include horseback riding, scuba diving, and singing in Song of Atlanta Show Chorus. She has two dogs, Samantha and Lexi. She is presently studying Biology at Georgia State University.

Why she does this: " I have always had pets and love to be around them."

Holley Clark

Holley was born in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, but considers Fairport, NY her hometown. She graduated from Newton High (with distinction), and studied at the University of West GA. She enjoys spending time with her friends, playing video games, and traveling.  She lives with her boyfriend Timothy and their pets Chloe (a Chihuahua mix) and John Mayer (a cat).

Why she does this: "Changing animals' lives is very rewarding!"

 

Camillya Fanning

Camillya was born in Atlanta, GA and has 2 sisters (one of which, Tayler, works here with her). She graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Animal Sciences (with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Science).  She enjoys reading, working out, and running. She has two dogs: Kyle, a Shepherd mix, and Hershey, a Lab mix.

Why she does this: "I enjoy working with animals because it's a field where you can continue to learn."

 

Mark Hildebran

Mark was born in Pembroke Pines, FL and enjoys falconry and raptor rehabilitation. He has 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 2 falconry hawks.

Why he does this: "I grew up working with animals.  It became a part of me."

 

 

 

Shahzaib Jiwani

Student/Tech Asst.

Shahzaib was born in Pakistan, and lives in Lilburn.  He attends Parkview High School, where he is an executive officed with the Marine Corps JROTC.  He also received the Scottish Rite Award for Americanism. H enjoys riflery, running, and reading. 

Why he does this: "The people here at The Village Vets are just absolutely amazing.  It's almost like a second family!"

Kennel Staff

 

Tanya McLeod

Tanya was born in Dover, Delaware and lives in Lilburn with her husband Steven and son Steven Jr. She loves working with animals, writing poetry, and working with sign language. SHe has 2 dogs: Koocou (Husky/Blue Heeler) and Jaime (Rat Terrier), and two cats: Sammy and Peta.  She is a member of both the Key Club and the Save The Manatee Club. Tanya has a twin sister, as well as 3 other sisters and 2 brothers.

Why she does this:  I like being able to help make and keep animals healthy.

 

Amanda France

Amanda was born in Houston, Texas, and now lives in Lilburn with her mother, father, and 2 brothers.  She attends Parkview High School and participates in both varsity volleyball and track.  She is an honors student, and also in the choir.  She has 4 dogs: Rudy and Biggio (a Border Collie and Border Collie/Aust. Shepherd mix), as well as Princess and Skipper (both Jack Russell Terriers).

Why she does this: "Because animals are AWESOME!"

 

 

Tiffani Barton

Tiffani was born in Voorhes, New Jersey, and now lives in Lilburn with her mother, father, and younger sister and brother. She attends Parkview High School and enjoys theatre and working with the animals.  She has two dogs, Ghost and Bear, a cat, Toby, and 2 birds- Samson and Goliath.

Why she does this: "I love working at The Village Vets because the people here are amazing and animals are something I've loved to work with since I was little."

 

Taylor Fanning

Taylor was born Atlanta, and lives in Lilburn.  she is a student at Parkview High School, and enjoys basketball and hanging out with her friends.  She is also a great singer.  She has a dog Kyle and another named Moe.  She works here with her big sister, Camillya (see above), and also has another older sister.

 

 

Evan Scott Carr

Evan was born in Atlanta and lives with his father, mother and two brothers. He has two dogs: Cali (Am. Staff. Terrier) and Missy (Am. Mutt).  He loves baseball (MVP and Captain of the varsity team) and swimming. He attends Valdosta State.

Why he does this: "Love for animals, order, surroundings, people."

 

Matt Andersen

Matt was born in Snellville, GA and enjoys playing guitar and wrestling. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister, and Subre (Siberian Husky). He says that one of his special talents is that he tends to be "a little too literal." 

Why he does this: I love animals...they are amazing gifts from God and this seems to be a really good environment."

Michelle Delk

Michelle was born in Atlanta and has a daughter, Mikayla. She received her groomer's certification in 2001, and groomed with The Village Vets of Decatur before coming over to Lilburn-Stone Mountain. She has a Bulldog mix, Marijayne, and a cat, JoJo. She enjoys swimming and bowling.

Why she does this: "The people at The Village Vets are loving and caring people.  Not only do they care for the pets; they care for the pet owners as well."

Dianna McAuley

Partner/Practice Administrator

  • Dianna is from Louisville, Kentucky, but has been in the metro Atlanta area for some time. She attended Bellarmine University.  She handles accounting and administrative matters for the Village Veterinary Centers, and is also a partner. She and Dr. Draper worked together for years prior to her joining The Village Vets. Her hobbies include movies, decorating, biking, watching hockey, antiquing and traveling. She and her husband, Mark, live in Villa Rica and have 2 chows, Samantha and Biscuit, and a Chow mix, Butter.
